After weeks of planning, our East Coast USA road trip began with an early start, a smooth flight, and a full first day exploring New York City. From Times Square to Soho and Shake Shack in Madison Square Park, we hit 29,000 steps and soaked up every moment of Day One.
Day 1, A day of travel. 16 hours after leaving Derby we find our selves in Music City, Nashville Tenesseee
International travel during the covid pandemic hasn't been easy but as with everything, if you take the risks the reward is there. So in June 2021 with the USA well and truly closed to international visitors we found ourselves booking a week in New York in December for my 50th Birthday.
We were staying at the Casa Thorn Bed & Breakfast in Islamorada. From what we had read on the internet we were expecting it to be unique and we weren't left disappointed.
Ive finally got round to editing a few more videos from the hours and hours of footage i took whilst driving Route 66 last summer.
We left Derby at 4am and by mid afternoon we were sampling the delights Chicago had to offer as we started our Route 66 adventure
