After a heavy night on the beer with an American couple last night and a short walk to see Abraham Lincoln's childhood house and other period houses we finally left the strange town of Springfield Illinois to head to St Louis.
We had a lie in this morning as we didn't have to drive anywhere - BLISS !! It wasnt much of a lie in but was nice not getting up and having to repack the bags and head to the car.

We left Santa Barbara mid morning and headed out on the coastal road through a very nice looking estate. We were soon up on the cliffs overlooking the bay
We had three nights booked at the Old Manor House in Key West and the general idea was to wander the streets, pop in and out of shops and bars and generally chill out and relax.
It was a rainy drive from Nashville to Memphis but the Sun (Studio) was waiting ahead and all that Memphis had to offer
