Christmas in New York
International travel during the covid pandemic hasn’t been easy but as with everything, if you take the risks the reward is there. So in June 2021 with the USA well and truly closed to international visitors we found ourselves booking a week in New York in December for my 50th Birthday flying British Airways Business Class.
New York City has a way of pulling you in and during our week-long trip to the Big Apple, it didn’t let go for a second. From the roar of the crowd at a Rangers ice hockey game in Madison Square Garden to the electric atmosphere of the New York Giants on NFL Sunday, we threw ourselves into the city’s unbeatable sports scene. We dived headfirst into New York’s world-famous shopping districts, indulged in everything from rooftop cocktails to greasy (and glorious) dollar pizza slices, and soaked up the unique rhythm of each neighbourhood we wandered through.
